My name is James Greenwell, I am 75 years old. I had back surgery on June 10 2025. Dr Bjerke and his team are the best. The surgery was done at Norton Healthcare, Clark County. All the staff and nurses at Clark County was very nice and help full. My surgery went very good.The first week after surgery was some what pain full and my wife had to help me a lot, but I could tell that each day I was improving. I don't even know where to begin. I went to the ER with weakness in my legs on Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. I was admitted and multiple tests were ordered. I had an MRI done late Friday, and Saturday morning Dr. Bjerke came in my room and explained the results. His explanations were easy for a layman to understand. And while he explained the benefits/risks of a surgical approach, he in no way pressured me to have surgery. His bedside manner is amazing. I had a lateral spine fusion by Dr. Benjamin Bjerke on January 31, 2025, and couldn’t be happier with the results. The pain from my spinal stenosis and slipped disc came on suddenly with severe sciatica pain that I had never experienced before. It got so bad that I had to have my husband take me to the ER.
