Dr Bjerke is an outstanding doctor. He surpasses many doctors not only because of his immense surgical skills, but also because of his genuine concern for his patients and his excellent communication skills. He always had time to answer questions and explain the procedures. I felt completely confident I had a very good layman understanding of the procedures to be done and the expected outcome prior to the surgery. Dr. Bjerke recently performed a lumbar spinal fusion on my back. I couldn't be happier with the whole process from beginning to end. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional . He explained the whole process in a very thorough and easy to understand manner. All my questions were answered and I never felt rushed. I was given a direct phone # to Dr. Bjerke post-op for any problems that arose or any questions I had. He seems to love what he does. His bedside manners are outstanding. I would highly recommend Dr. Bjerke a... read more

His office got me in quick, did imaging tests and told me I needed surgery, disk replacement and fusion. (C4-C6). Even though I've had MANY surgeries in the past, I was pretty nervous about this surgery but the pain was so bad, I was ready to do it asap. When I woke up after surgery, I could tell immediately that surgery had h... read more

If you are planning to have spinal surgery, of any kind, do extensive research before you let a surgeon get close to your spine. Do lot's of research. This research should include asking where the surgeon has worked in the past (all of them), why he left (was he terminated? and why?), why has he moved around from one company/hospital to another often, and why, at a relatively young age, he is licensed in many different states. Doing your due-diligence research and looking past the marketing material will be very important, a... read more
