Dr. Bene was very kind but my cataract surgery had to be redone at Wilmer Eye Institute just 5 months later. Now I have.a lifelong disease and my vision is awful.
When it comes to our eyes, we all want the best. I've been seeing Dr Bene for many years now, and I know of none better. Dr Bene is a polite, soft spoken professional who will take all the time necessary to answer your questions, explain procedures, and will never go Forward until you are totally happy. I've trusted Dr. Bene to some serious eye surgery, including operating on both eyelids to reduce excessive skin. You can find Dr. Bene 24/7 if you need him. I know of none better. Greg
Cancelled my appointment twice without explanation. Don’t even bother.
The staff is very condescending and rude! When I showed up 15 min before my scheduled appt, the two women at the desk very loudly proclaimed your appt is cancelled. How, I asked. We don't know, we do not have any appts available today. I told the ladies that I cannot continue to wait for another appt, I did not cancel. Somebody did, was the response given by staff. I was referred to Dr. Bene for a procedure. The procedure went so well after I was better I switched eye doctors to Dr Bene and could not be happier with each visit. He is sometimes backed up, but that is because he actually listens to everything you have to say and explains things to you in an easy to understand manner. I can wait a few extra minutes for that kind of care.
Took me into the office 30 minutes late. It took THREE hours after that to complete a simple exam because he kept leaving the room to see other patients. He even did one test twice because he forgot he did it. Never put anything in my eyes that mandated a wait. He just overbooked. When I filled the prescription for glasses, I could see distance but reading was blurry. I wasn't going back even if it was free, so I had to pay for another eye exam. Very poor treatment.
Dr. Bebe was very good. He found I had a problem with my right eye. I could not ask for a better doctor. Hands down great doctor!
