I had the same experience as the first person’s negative review. Sherry Bender appraised my house way under the market value by about $100,000. It was grossly undervalued given the quality of craftsmanship, location, condition, and high grade building materials. It can not be over stated how much power one person has over you in this process. You are basically helpless unless you have the extra money to get another appraisal. A house is most people’s largest asset. Getting a bad and inaccurate appraisal is simply crushing.
Worst appraiser ever! My house was appraised way less than the assessed value by the county. The structure of the house is excellent. I upgraded my kitchen, I have brand new carpet. My next door neighbor's house sold for $350,000. Another house sold fir $380,000 just a block away from me....what a waste of money. Soooo expensive, too!!!!
