I recently attended Bend Urban Gardens’ workshop “Planning and Planting Your Fall and Winter Garden”. I am a Type-A, overthinking perfectionist. I’ve always wanted to have a vegetable garden but since moving to Bend, had been unsure that I’d be able to produce anything due to the short growing season. BUG was able to consider our property and specific needs, wishes and budget and find a great solution. Ashley has a smooth and enjoyable process with so many steps simplified and provided for, as well as technical experience and knowledge, with brilliant ways to lengthen our growing season and allow almost anything to grow. I highly recommend!

I’m really new to gardening but had done enough reading and researching to totally confuse myself. We called Bend Urban Gardens and started from ground zero—Ashley helped us plan our site, we built kit beds from B.U.G., she set up our irrigation and taught me how to make changes, simple fixes, and additions with confidence.
