If I’m being honest, I was disappointed when I left today. It seemed like the doctor’s answers for me were different today when I had a change of heart and was more serious about considering surgery for my torn labrum, versus my prior appointment when I wasn’t feeling as strongly about an operation yet. I simply hate bringing my clients here! I work with the elderly! And most of them are not capable of filling out the 15 page packet that they expect you to fill out when you come in! Especially when you bring them a full and complete consultation from with all of there personal information down to the last detail in for them! They will still have you copy from the exact paperwork that you have already brought them! Instead of them just interning the information into their database! it was good, except that I did not meet Dr Mayo so I cannot tell you what I thought of our visit with him. Instead his attendant met with me and my husband. He was nice and polite. He gave me a steroid shot in my knee hoping to relieve the pain, however that has not changed anything, it is still bad enough that I still cannot walk on it. He did not offer any home care in the meantime.
It was a good experience. The staff assisting me were knowledgeable , attentive, friendly and genuinely cared about my concerns. They offered advice and recommendations that I feel are appropriate and helpful. The PA listened intently, was very engaging and made me feel comfortable .
Very pleased that they were able to get me in for a same day appt. They were able to control my knee pain until I can see the surgeon in 10 days.
