Just had a $30 lesson in learning to go to Lowe's instead of a small business. There is heavy pressure to buy what they have in stock, not what you actually need. Naturally, what they suggested was cheap in quality and not even close to what I told them I needed. I feel lied to. Go to a store that actually has selection if you need something.
Beltway Plaza Hardware is great for keys, but also much more. Of the 50-plus hardware stores in Maryland and DC rated in the latest issue of Washington Consumer Checkbook, BPH is the ONLY one that is top-rated for both Quality and Price. Owner-manager Alejandra Ramirez ("Allie") and her wonderful staff are continuing the store's decades of customer-friendly excellence.
