The Belmont is a fantastic place to live for a few reasons: The location in the city is very hard to beat. I can easily get on the freeway and go north, south, east or west after a few blocks. The building itself is gorgeous, having been built at the turn of the 20th century, originally serving as an upscale hotel (there’s even a ballroom in the basement). Charming building, great location, street parking was doable (furthest I parked was 2 blocks away), laundry in basement that takes card, Jim/Glen/all of maintenance were super helpful and friendly, rent is a steal, the only reason I did not give 5 stars is that it took about 2 weeks to get a leak above my shower resolved and so I had to shower at friends' houses. All other maintenance was less an issue and fixed quickly. I highly recommend living here! It was a blast and I am a bit heartbroken to leave it after 2.5 years!
