The best Italian food in Raleigh Maybe that is a bit strong, but this place is absolutely great. It can be crowded, but with reservations, you will be seated quickly. The bar area can be crowded because of all the tables, but the restaurant is still quiet and pleasantly lit. The bread appetizer is so delicious!!! I've had baked ziti and pizza from here, and I loved both. A great dinner out!
Always Dependable Great little Italian place we have been going to for years. The owners and family often come out to greet you and sometimes pull up a chair and have a glass of wine with you. Highly recommended!
Good food The last time we were here, we had a great meal. Fresh food and friendly service. Reasonably priced. The place is small, so go early or prepare to wait on some nights. Weekdays it's less crowded.
Great Italian food You've got to try this place. They're pastas are delicious. The pizzas are phenomenal. I can't think of a single thing wrong with this place. Even the restrooms are cool. Definitely worth trying.

First of all, every single dish I've ever received at Bella Monica has been saturated with oil. Just because you use a lot of olive oil in your dishes doesn't make them Italian, just unhealthy. The server was friendly, but after asking twice for bread, she brought it with our meal more than 30 minutes after we had been seated.
