My stepfather was there a whole 7 days. The facility allowed other members of the family to come in and take my father away one day which was illegal since my mother his wife of 30 plus years instructed the facility not to allow them to take my father or to have any visitors without her knowing about it. Unfortunately at that time his two sons had come into the place had caused a lot of havoc and we're making demands of my family and blocked us from seen my stepfather who by the way has dementia. We are so grateful for the fine medical care and kindly personal assistance our mother received at Bel Aire. As we visited her every day, we couldn’t help but notice the little things the staff and administration did for her, such as speaking gently, holding her hand, and smiling. They always treated her with kindness and respect. The daily activities and music they provided brought her joy, even as her dementia increased. My father, Robert Weight was a resident at Bel Aire. Loved the staff and the environment. Felt really good about his care but after he died I felt like I had been gouged. He passed away on Jan 3. I had paid his Jan rent but since he passed before the 15th I was entitled to a half month refund. I finally got the refund about 7 weeks later and it was about $220 short of what I was expecting. They had deducted charges for gloves, wipes, missed meals etc. he was on hospice and these should have been taken care of. It left a sort... read more
