Behr Premium Advanced DeckOver totally a waste of money, personal time, painful labor. I used Behr’s recommended deck cleaner and allowed three weeks of hot August summer heat to throughly dry. So embarrassed to invite guests over for annual and family gatherings. So ashamed of this product. So disgusted and now going to hire a contractor to strip this garbage off my deck boards and recover it with a real deck finish and sealer. This is a photo of the DeckOver crap after about three years and with a second coating.
I just want to say I've always used Behr paint because I love them so much. But the last paint that I got which is the marquee one coat with advanced stain blocking, is so smelly. There's this horrible ammonia smell that lasts forever. And if you have asthma expect to be in an asthma event for as long as you're painting and then some. Sorry behr for the bad review. But I've been miserable painting this condo.
Outstanding customer service from the Behr representative, Chris Lilly in Home Depot. He was knowledgeable, professional and took the time to show me everything. Exceptional customer service all the way. Highly recommend!
3/10/26 I painted an entire 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom townhouse by myself and I'm over 60; I had never done this before, I used your paint it looks very nice, thanks for your high quality paint. "Forget about the rest, "Behr bears the best!" :0)
Really not worth one star; their paint is terrible thin and watery; we painted our hall about 6 months ago; ok; a few weeks ago, we used the exact same paint in living room and dining room and it took almost three coats and the color did not match the hallway; what an ordeal to paint with Behr paint; we brought back 2 gallons to HD and we told them we were dissatisfied and they gave us the same thing, which still didn't match - bought flat white from Behr for the kitchen; painted ceiling and then next day it looked like we d... read more
