Case: I have been told (on several occasions) that a contractor was going to show up on a specific day during a specific time period to service something (and could I please be available) only to have the people not show up. I would often alter my work schedule to make sure I was home and available or and/or to make sure my dog was inside/kennelled ( sometimes all day) ...
