I was with another nurse practitioner in this practice for several years and when she moved away. I asked to see Ronda and was taken into her practice immediately. We have a great rapport, I like her commonsense approach to my healthcare, she is always responsive to my needs and answers any questions I have.

I'd gthen 1 star if it was an option. I had an appointment at 10am. It was cold and rainey. I went in and not exactly sure where to go, I asked the lady at the 1st desk where I shoudl go and why I was there. She told me to get back in my car and drive around to the Labs area. IN the cold rtain I did just that - Waited ther for some time and then finally saw someone who had to do soem investigating to send me back out into the cold rain again to go back to where I was about 45 - 50 minutes ago. I was admitted to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for evaluation. He visited my room in the morning while I was in the restroom. I told him to wait a minute, and that I'll be out in a second. He got impatient and proceeded to scream, "Okay, you need to get out now, I have things to do!" I have never been so appalled at a "professional" blatantly disrespecting and belittling me.

While Dr. Smalheiser is knowledgeable, he very much lacks people skills. My father (who is in his early 50s) went to see Dr. Smalheiser and whilst discussing my dad’s test results Dr. Smalheiser joked that my dad’s heart was a “widow-maker”, while my mom was also in the room with him. He continued to crack jokes that made my parents both very uncomfortable. He was very judgmental towards my parents and didn’t seem notice his inappropriate behavior.
