only thing consistent is their incosistency – Finally gave up going there...service usually poor...got an uncooked pizza once, their excuse was their ovens went out??...so did they not think i'd notice???. i'm really surprised they are still around...i'm over them but there must be a lot of newbees willing to try them to keep them in biz...

If I wanted pizza, I would opt for a good frozen brand – I can't remember having a worst pizza. the crust has the taste of a flavorless pretzel, unsalted what tomato sauce is there (very little) has less taste than something out of a jar. The meat they call sausage is ground hamburger of poor quality. The cheese, i couldn't find or taste any The pepperoni was paper thin and tasted like pressed bacon chips I think the mushrooms where of a frozen type, possibly not thawed before making. In fact i think the entire pizza was pre... read more

Could I Get Some Pizza with My Pizza, Please? – I was born in Colorado and have eaten at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs many times after skiing. The pizzas are WAY overpriced for what you get, the service is SLOW and the pizzas have a HUGE rim of crust that ends up being a huge ripoff. I went there with a friend once, and we weren't very hungry, so we shared a small pizza. Well, after waiting about 1,000 years, they brought out this tiny pizza that was LITERALLY 2/3 CRUST with a small ring of cheese and mushrooms in the middle. ... read more

they won over this chicagoan – i love the idaho springs location, nothing like spending the day there and eating at beau jo's . I lived in denver for 3 years until moving to WI last year (i grew up in chicago). i really like the unique pizza, yeah the crust is thick but it is yummy. crisp and great when dipped in honey. they also offer feta as a topping which is my favorite! i wish they had one here because i would love some right now!

Unique pizza with great crust – This place is my husband's favorite. The reason is the honey whole wheat crust which is healthy and very tasty. This place has a variety of pizza to satisfy food allergies and choices. The vegetarian pizzas do lack some flavour though, I am already sick of eating her. If one has kids though it looks like a wonderful place since they make fabulous balloons!

Never Again – We just moved here from Long Island N.Y. and went because a coworker said it was good. Big mistake! I can't believe they call that pizza. It wasn't even as good as Cici's and was a little more than twice the price. I still have indigestion and just wanted to write this before I forget. The pizza was very greasy and the soup and salad bar were a joke. Also my husband, 2 and a half year old and I all sat and waited to get a waitress for almost fifteen minutes and my son was whining most of the time, which because... read more

Big disappointment – Went there because of the gluten free menu. The place had kind of an odd layout and was 1/3 full when we got there. Nonetheless, none of the staff could seem to keep up with the business. Sure they were understaffed, but management should have been able to anticipate it. Our waiter was a nice, young guy but we had to wait for everything, and I had to chase him down to get my check and pay it. The pizza was pretty tasty, but I had wings and the stuffed mushrooms. Yes, that was a mistake not getting pizza ... read more

A Colorado favorite for thick (or thin) crusted pizzas piled mile-high with toppings. – In Short Rustic wood paneling and Old West-themed decor recall Colorado's gold-rush days. Hungry families crowd the restaurant munching on Beau Jo's famed thick Mountain Pizzas and thin Praire Pizzas. Customers choose from about 20 specialty pies or create their own using one or more of the seven sauces, nine cheeses and a long list oftoppings. There's also a catalog of sandwiches, calzones and desserts.
