My friend Margo brought me to this restaurant and I loved it.
I've been going to Bear's since they opened. It was (was) one of the best BBQ joints in the area. But I think the success has gone to their heads. Portions have gotten smaller, prices have gone up and the food quality has greatly diminished. Meat is a lot fattier and the BBQ beans are now soupier with more beans added while lowering the meat content. No stars, this place has no idea what customer service is, or how to serve food. We got take out a few times & there is always something wrong with the order. Tonight our meals were both missing all signs of sauce. When we called, we were told to go back for some sauce. Sure, 2 trips for mediocre food that will be stone cold before it sees any sauce. No thanks, we're through with Bear's. They will likely thrive up by the airport with transients.
