Bears is the best BBQ you can get in CT! The staff are great and the atmosphere is homey. Without a doubt one of the best BBQ joints on the East Coast.
Great burnt tips!!!! First time going and the honey butter on cornbread is a great finishing move.
Some people may get hung up on the cafeteria style approach but what people are not understanding is this is true Kansas City style BBQ. Prices are just above average for the weight of meat but they certainly don't skimp on quality. I've had near perfect St. Louis ribs. Slight tug from the bone and not over cooked(that fall off the bone crap you maybe expecting is actually a sign of overcooked ribs). The Brisket is probably my favorite meat from here. As much as I love the food I am not used to places automatically adding a 10% tip for me just purchasing food to-go. Just an FYI for future visitors, check to make sure before you finish paying you see that a tip isn'tA automatically added unless you requested a tip.

This place is no joke Jaimie knows his stuff... Super nice guy ,hands on ,in the kitchen with an apron on welcoming guests from behind the food counter ...ribs we're pretty much some of the best i've ever had tried a little of everything ... Everything on the menu is on point including the desserts
We were out in Groton CT today so we stopped at Chesters BBQ, you stand unparalleled! Their food was awful. Yours is simply, THE best! Thank you for always delivering the best BBQ CT has ever had, I can tell my toddler approves by the smacking of his lips. Sincerely, your life long customer
The food was very good. But how can a BBQ gave neither ribs nor burnt ends. It would be 4 to 5 star had they had one or the other.
