Performed a wedding there, and the reception was held there. The service was fabulous, and the food was excellent. All involved were the best. (I have played golf there earlier this year and in past years as well and had an excellent experience. Normally, though, since I live too far away to play there regularly and am a member of a course farther north I don't play there too often. I also can't afford the price on a regular basis.)
If you haven't played Bear Trap, you are missing out. I am a novice golfer and try to play the course a few times a season. Each time, the course has been in great condition with beautiful views, the staff is always very helpful and courteous. There is a very fun yet professional vibe that I truly appreciate at Bear Trap. Thanks Bear Trap, looking forward to coming back!
I paid $12 for about 30 balls, 10 of which were either slit, cut, or so old it didn't fly right. Then the teeing area was on hard old mats and the grass wasn't trimmed around the mats at all. Doubt it's ever off of the grads because the grass looked unkept. There was NO water near the range. I assume they want you to walk in and buy something. I really liked this course. Open fairways, can be agressive off of missed shots with large greens. Consistent speeds, well maintained and fun to play!
