I had been seeing great reviews for these knives, and loved the fact that they are built right next door in Alabama. So when I found a small stockman for a great price I took the plunge. The fit and finish was spectacular, and the blades were sharp, well-finished, and they walked and talked with authority. You could say I was impressed - I ordered a Barlow and another stockman! These were just as beautiful as the first. Three for three has made a believer out of me. I will definitely acquire a few more Bear and Son knives as... read more

I recently got a Balisong/Butterfly Trainer. It literally got bent within a 2 days use. It often gets stuck in the safe handle. Not only that but the handle broke. The screws are lose and i can bend the handle to the sides without even trying. It's a trainers knife, it's supposed to tolerate landing on a carpet without snapping. I am really disappointed with this. Cause your knives were supossed to be official and very good. Yet it looks cheap when i look at it in person and the paint gets scraped off from just using it. I s... read more

So about a month ago I purchased a Silver Vein Butterfly Damascus. And a day ago it just broke when I was flipping over the carpet..Seriously, I was extremely surprised to see this happen. The break was extremely close to the pin on the front of the knife. The handles themselves are made out of zinc which is effect for flipping. But since I emailed them.Bear & Sons reminded me that I have a warranty on the knife and I can send it back to them and they'll repair it. Over all there balisongs are great for flipping if you're on... read more

Business response:

Sorry for your problem! First your knife has a lifetime warranty if it broke as you say over carpet and it was a manufacturer defect we will be glad to repair your knife. Second this knife in question is made from a high quality zinc casting. A cast zinc is not as strong as aluminum, stainless, or titanium. Nor did this knife cost as much as one of those materials. That said the knife should proform as a flipper and a everyday knife without defect. Please send your knife in for repair and we will fix the knife.

Recently received a bear ops b-200.(less than 24 hours) I LOVE THIS KNIFE, one problem. The screws that secures the handle to the spacer fell out( with factory loctite on them) one was retrieved the other , who know where it landed. No biggie, I have the hardware and clip for the knife. Went to install the clip (no loctite) and one of the heads of those screws sheared off as I put the knife in the pocket of the pants I had and and shot across the room. I went to pull the knife out of my pocket and the clip pivoted 180 degree... read more
