Been going to the Beacon since the 70’s when they offered the $0.99 breakfast. Costs a little more now but always a great way to start the dat at NSB.
Shaming nursing moms is not how you run a business and this place as a company should be ashamed. It is against the law to make a nursing mom leave. If you expect a BABY to eat in the car, then anyone who agrees needs to eat behind at the dumpster.
Tried to sit in a chair to be hidden to breast feed my baby here at this restaurant which is closed at the moment so I didn’t see an issue. A worker came out and yelled at me and told us we cannot be there and I explained to her I needed to nurse my baby and she said no go find somewhere else. So I had to feed my baby boy standing in a parking lot being mom shamed!!! I am sooooo mad right now that this is even an issue! New Smyrna Florida Beacon Restaurant
Not sure who the worker was or if management agrees with this worker or not (if they do, then I highly do not recommend this non kid friendly restaurant) ....a worker came out to the parking lot and told someone they were not allowed to breastfeed their child. That is NEVER ok! just like everyone else, babies need to eat too and if that happens to be by their mothers breast than so be it! This worker needs to be educated on the laws and on how to be treat people with respect! This was completely uncalled for !!!
My cousin was told she had to leave while she was breastfeeding outside, while the restaurant was closed. She was just looking for a place to sit down and feed her newborn. For someone to tell a mom she’s not welcome to feed her child while her baby was hungry and was actually trying to be conservative about it anyways is just rude as can be. I don’t suggest any parents going to this restaurant.
