We stayed at ocean front Sand Castle, 10 bedrooms. We paid over $31 K for the week with no working ice maker, very limited hot water, very slow wifi, YouTube TV was constantly stalling due to slow wifi. Bedroom TV's were worse. Half the deck furniture was bad. Washing machine sounded like a jet airplane, The 2 outdoor gas grills were so nasty half the burners wouldn't work. We are sorry that there are terms that come with this but to say we were not compassionate or not helpful was not exactly true. Sadly, I had to cancel this April 2025 trip due to the unexpected passing of my mother. I reached out to the host, hoping for a bit of compassion during an incredibly difficult time. While I completely understand that policies exist for a reason, I was disappointed that there was no flexibility or gesture of understanding — not even a partial refund or credit. We have been using Beach Realty for many years in the search of the perfect vacation home. Five stars is not a high enough rating that we would give them. We have stayed in multiple houses In Long Bay Estates during that time, and have had nothing but great experiences.
