My husband & I had a great time this afternoon. The food was excellent - pulled pork sandwich, jambalaya, gumbo & "to die for" bread pudding. Friendly staff & top notch service. Great music with Mama Ray's Jazz Meets Blues Jam.
Food was very good, had BB King Platter more than I could handle!! Music and staff were exceptional, loved the Road House atmosphere.
This is true KC BBQ! I host a Filmmaker Tour of KC every year for the KC Film Festival and we proudly, always go to BBs. All the visiting filmmakers and actors love the atmosphere and the delisious food. We all know there are plenty of places to go for great BBQ in KC, but it's the atmosphere and hospitality of BBs that makes this my favorite local Q joint! Cool roadhouse, but the sauce is not my favorite...cool liveblues...some employees awesome, others were meh....
The environment was great but confusing to get a table when walking in the door. The pulled pork was good but the service was slow and the waitress checked in with our group once. A few people had to wait to order food until the waitress came back with checks for the rest of the group. It was almost impossible to get a glass of water and seemed like a burden to the waitress. I won't be recommending this place.
I have been there more times than I can count and it is a great place. The food is excellent, service is great and they always have terrific blues music. Their bread pudding is incredible! It is clearly my favorite BBQ and blues place in Kansas City!!!
