Front desk staff was super friendly. The rooms are clean. The only thing is that the hot tub was not working.
When we first got there our tv didn't work the phone didn't work and the Jacuzzi didn't work the whole time. An when the tv did work we had 3 channels. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Not like it used to be. Lets just say I was glad we only stayed one night. Hoping our next stay is better, whenever that is.
Booked a room for a birthday party called a month in advance, talked to 4 different staff members periodically to make sure everything was in place even the day before party, when I show up to decorate was told I never booked the rooms and all the people I talked to on the phone did not work there, manager tried to tell me I didn't call that baymont, funny how it's the only one in Dowagiac after a big hassle ended up getting the room then the manager has the nerve to tell me to clean the room after, they have staff for that!... read more
Not a bad room, appeared clean, not enough towels for 2 people, no bath mat to step out to. In the morning a breaker must have been blown, the switch for the sink area was out, came on a few minutes later. Breakfast was okay, the manager on duty when we checked in wasn't very pleasant and didn't really make us feel welcome, good thing the morning manager was cheery.
Exercise room only had a treadmill and 3 sets of weights. The treadmill didn't work. Power outlet at the pool hanging off the wall by its wires. Window in the pool room cracked. No emergency phone at the pool although there was a sign telling you that it connected to the front desk. No pool towels until I complained. Whole place is worn out. Give it a miss and drive by.
This place is in desperate need of maintenance & repairs all over.!! No water in the hot tub.., so much for that. Would be nice to have some shampoo & conditioner in the rooms. Window screens are torn & shredded as if someone's cat wasn't happy here either & escaped.
No better than average. But I don't expect much from a Baymont so there is that.
