We reserved a room here in South Dakota for a family reunion, and the front desk lady was pleasant, but after getting in the room, we realized we couldn't stay here. The room smell was very perfumery, several places in the room had dust, a dirty rag was left on the dresser & the closet mirror was ready to fall out of place & was very hard to open. One night stay over a busy Thanksgiving weekend - room was clean, bed was comfortable, and shower was perfect. Location was great, right off I-44. The staff really makes this place shine, though. Front desk staff was always helpful, and the sole breakfast staffer on duty that busy Sunday morning was challenged with constant messes and spills, but she kept a great attitude and set a cheerful tone for us guests. The manager should give her a raise!
This was a great hotel for my family to stay at on our road trip. The only complaints I have are that we had an issue in our room and it was so easy to hear the people above us walking around, but the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and they handled our room issue very graciously. The continental breakfast was very nice, the seating area was clean and comfortable, and the beds were comfortable. A nice stay overall.
We have always enjoyed our visit at every Baymont and the Springfield location was no exception. Clean and friendly staff. Great breakfast, they had a pepper / vegetable medley that was a great add to the scrambled eggs. Good job!
