Stayed at Helena Mt. Baymont Hotel over the weekend with my grandchildren, so glad we did! We received a warm welcome. We had a ground floor room. No there is no elevator and no, there was no mold anywhere in our room. There was a broken lightbulb in one lamp and Shyanne, who was the front desk clerk, came and fixed it immediately. So my biggest complaint is the water temp for the shower/bath, it really doesn't get that warm, hot tub is and has been out of service, pool (according to other guests) was cold cold, my window was broken and wouldn't shut on one side. My specific room was kinda run down (missing carpet in corners and tiles in corners), they allow dogs (at $20 each which is kind of a rip off because they already charge a $250 cleaning fee if they mess things up) but over all very clean. First, the staff are amazing. But the rooms are old and smell bad. The indoor pool was freezing cold. The hot tub was out of service and we didn't have hot water in our room. Was going to move to another room and opened the door and the room hadn't been cleaned. Finally moved to our 3rd room and it had hot water. So overall I would not stay here again. On first impression it seems ok. But, It's old and rundown and just feels dirty. Besides the cold water problems.
The reviews are not accurate, do not stay here. To start off, they charge a $200 deposit to locals due to drug use in the hotel. The place is filthy, trash under the bed and behind the night stands, stains on the walls and dirt everywhere. It appears there is no cleaning or maintenance schedule. Please stay away and save your money for somewhere else.
