I had booked our room almost 2 months in advance. We arrived in the late afternoon and heard the people at the front desk telling someone that their card reader wasn't working, so they couldn't take cards, so the only way we could stay there was to go across the street to the Casey's ATM and get cash. Location was good for where we were going. Room was clean but dated. We had to request towels. We were there for 3 nights but did not receive housekeeping. I'm not sure if that is by request only but they did not mention it at checkin. Upon checking in there was only one front desk staff so the wait to check in could be a while. Upon checking out there was no one at the front desk. We did not get up in time for breakfast but they do offer continental breakfast. The hotel lobby is nice but small. Stayed at this hotel for the state fair for friday night. I was welcomed by a young man in black. Cannot recall his name but it was along the lines of Andy. He serviced us very well and made sure all of our needs were fulfilled. However, when it was due to check out I was greeted poorly by an older lady. Glad she wasn’t the one who checked me in when I first got here!! Overall it was a nice clean room, environment could use some help but we’ll call him “Andy” made our stay feel so much like at home. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! Booked 1 night for the state fair and the room was DISGUSTING and the area of town felt very unsafe. We got our keys, checked out our room and it was unacceptable. There were ants/bugs in the bed, no towels or blankets in the room, the beds just had sheets, the sheets had what looked like spaghetti stains on them, it stunk, the bathroom was rancid, and the AC was moldy.
