I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the extraordinary care provided to my father, during his recent stay on Unit 6B at Bayhealth’s Sussex Campus. Despite the personal challenges he faces and the fact that he can be difficult—even at times unappreciative—the staff treated him with remarkable compassion, professionalism, and respect throughout his admission. I find it deplorable that patients who were referred to Bayhealth by the Occupational Health center should have to wait hours (going on 6 hours now)for a chest x-ray. But a strep culture was more important. Both procedures do not take this long. The patients were referred due to smoke inhalation from a recent fire at their home. One of the patients has asthma & the other patient is 11 years old & shouldn't have to wait this long to have their needs attended too.
