Superb experience. From the front desk to the nurse to Mr. Ortiz plus the interactions I saw with other patients. Caring, respectful team. Dr. Ortiz gave me the most thorough exam I have had in years, he explained everything thoroughly and clearly. Wait time was excellent as well. I am glad I stopped by in my search for a good physician office and I found them here.
I would give a Zero if I could. I experienced repeated violations of my right to informed refusal during visits in August and September 2025. Despite clearly declining an A1c test multiple times, it was included in the lab order and nearly administered on three separate occassions. On September 25, Mr. Ortiz entered the room in an agressive manner and insisted I needed the test, despite my documented refusal. I felt coereced and left the appointment immediately. I did not have a good experience with Cecilia Carag MD at all. The worst provider I’ve ever encountered and almost never went back to Baycare. I was so upset, but I heard she left and decided to give this place another chance and had an appointment with Melissa C. Moyers, APRN. Thank goodness I gave this place another chance. She is a great provider and listens to you and your concerns. I highly recommend seeing her if you are looking in the area for a new PCP! She truly cares about her patients.
