First I want to say that I see Melissa Moyers and she is fantastic I absolutely adore her. But the person I spoke to on the phone with today for a prescription refill was rude from the very beginning of our conversation and is not a good listener. Melissa is out is office for the week so I asked to speak to another Healthcare provider. Providers of the practice are fine but the front office staff like many others in the area lack knowledge when it comes to insurance laws and practices. Both my husband and I were wrongly told we had co-pays when we do not have an insurance plan that has co-pays for visits, only coinsurance. Was supposed to be there for a wellness visit which is preventative and covered at 100% like most insurance plans. Superb experience. From the front desk to the nurse to Mr. Ortiz plus the interactions I saw with other patients. Caring, respectful team. Dr. Ortiz gave me the most thorough exam I have had in years, he explained everything thoroughly and clearly. Wait time was excellent as well. I am glad I stopped by in my search for a good physician office and I found them here.
I would give a Zero if I could. I experienced repeated violations of my right to informed refusal during visits in August and September 2025. Despite clearly declining an A1c test multiple times, it was included in the lab order and nearly administered on three separate occassions. On September 25, Mr. Ortiz entered the room in an agressive manner and insisted I needed the test, despite my documented refusal. I felt coereced and left the appointment immediately.
