RecommendedThe food is delicious, comfortable atmosphere with a fantastic view of the waterway canal where you get to see large ships traveling thru. Everyone is friendly and welcoming to new faces. Chesapeake City is the place you want to visit and definitely dine at the Bayard House Restaurant.
Great atmosphere. More low key and more quiet then other spots in town
Crab dip is awesome, sweet potato fries the best I’ve had, and the crab cake sandwich is lump meat. Thanks for the wonderful lunch!!!
Delicious brunch - eggs Benedict with crab, French toast, and right on the water
Great outside bar with Happy hour and good bar menu. Enjoyed the Baked Brie tonight. Our bartender Amy was terrific.
One of our favorite places! Like what the new owners have done. Brian, the chef, is very personable and listens to his customers. Food is outstanding. Bartenders are all great and attentive. Highly recommend!

Been a patron for close to 40 years. While the ownership has changed three times since Mrs. I DuPont founded the place, the dedication to freshness and fine cuisine has not wavered once. I would give this place six stars if that were possible! — with Beth Hinerman Schaaf.
