So glad to have found Julie, in my search for helping me deal with my childhood trauma. She is the only one in the Charleston area to offer ART therapy, and that’s what I was looking for. She truly listens to your story, without judgement, and helps you gain clarity as to the best way to process traumatic events. After just one ART session, I was able to walk out with a completely different mindset. She is kind, compassionate, thorough, attentive, and has an uncanny ability to recall details of your history, that my last the... read more
Had a very negative experience. This caused our teen to actually have set backs we are still working on. I felt her sessions were more her personal than professional.
Mrs. Julie has been the backbone of our families mental health since our child was three, and she is now 13. Our child looks forward to her/our sessions with Mrs. Julie. What Bay Counseling has done for us, as a family, as well as for our little girl, is immeasurable. Mrs. Julie and all the councilors at Bay Counseling have a level of class and maturity that every parent should want, and need when looking out for their kids well being. We have never had any issues that Julie couldn't master by connecting with our child, help... read more

Julie Lindroth was my son’s therapist for several years and helped him (and our family) tremendously! My son had behavioral problems in school, and Julie provided tips to deal with anxiety and impulse control. To this day, our family still keeps in touch, and my son adores her. If you need a counselor who puts the child(ren) FIRST, Julie is who you want. She clearly communicated to me what my child was experiencing with his anxiety and what I could do help my child even more. Not only was she his counselor, she is a friend. ... read more
