Wonderful getaway hotel – We arrived late on a Friday night after fighting nearly 4 hours of hateful SoCal traffic between West Hollywood and the SD county line. A couple of relaxing days watching blue herons fly past our balcony, sail boats coming in and out of the marinas, and fireworks shows in the distance each night (from Sea World, I assume) can definitely make up for 4 hours of hell. Always Great – Every time we've eaten at their restaurant, it's been a very positive dining experience. Considering the atmosphere, the prices are very fair. Lunch is a good deal;. iIt's never very busy which really amazes me, since prices aren't much higher than chain restaurants. We've stayed at the hotel when they had special pricing including breakfast, and that's very nice for a short getaway.
