over 6 hours emergency wait, huge vet office visit fees, vets care not about pet, need to talk to vet be prepare to get answered what ever
I truly wish I could give this "hospital" 0 stars. Over the weekend we brought our epileptic mastiff in with symptoms of a blockage of some sort. We were initially sent home with simply a nausea shot and indications that the vet who saw us simply thought we were overreacting. A few hours later, we decided to bring our boy back in. For a large breed, epileptic dog who was regurgitating multiple times in their office lobby, was clearly in pain, stressed, and dehydrated we waited almost 3 hours. We asked multiple times if he co... read more
On Sunday November2, 2014 we took our beloved cat to Beach Bay he had a urinary tract infection and our cat had issues with people touching his paws so they would give him some meds to calm him down to clip his nails . They gave him too much gas and he died. They are under staffed, Rude and heartless cold. Everything the other people say about their customer service is so true! To top the whole thing off they promised to call the cremation service and never did two days later I called the cremation service they had not heard... read more
My wife's cotton dog injested antifreeze (we think) at about noon today, we were referred by our vet to Bay Beach........the word EMERGENCY is a gross misstatement. My wife was waiting from 6:00 untill now (8:22) anyone who simply Google's antifreeze poisoning can read TIME is of the essence. However after repeatedly being told she is next I finally called blue pearl who told her to rush the dog to them. (Side note) you can't charge ridiculous prices for EMERGENCY when you are not treating situations like an emergency. And o... read more
On a neighbor's recommendation, I brought my new dog today. I was there right on time. An hour went by, no one called us or said a word. When I asked how much longer it would be, I was told 30-40 more minutes because they had a couple emergencies earlier in the day. No phone call to say they were running late to save me a trip, no person told me while my dog paced in the waiting room. We left and will never be back.
Completely agree with MoraSt. The 24 hour vet clinic is a complete joke. The doctors are condescending and rude. Plus, it's more overpriced than most ER vet clinics.
Wow, I do not know where to begin to say this place is reckless with the safety of your animal and poor in service and communication with the owner. I should of followed my instincts when I saw the over attention to the parking lot and dog park with a nice waiting area, but only to find a staff that is overtly disinterested in acknowledging your presence when you walk in. Should of turned around right then, but I took my poor cat fluffy to them for a flea treatment, and they took her in back and killed her by accident. She j... read more
These guys are terrific. After our cat , Teddy, was systematically abused by the doctors Gerlach and Hallstrom at Norfolk Dog and Cat hospital, Bay-Beach was able to rehydrate and warm our cat but ultimately not save him. Teddy died because the doctors Gerlach and Hallstrom at Norfolk Dog and Cat Hospital forced a medically unnecessary enema on an already weakened cat presenting with cold-like symptoms. Teddy was then subjected to an ice-cold bath and left wet in a cage for hours until we were called to collect him. Teddy wa... read more
