I do NOT like being lied to. This is the 2nd time Bay Area Urology lied to me about options. I had heard there was an easy way to remove a micro spot of cancer on the prostate (U of M has a few different easy and noninvasive ways to remove a micro spot of cancer) and I was told NO other options for removing a cancer spot other than removing the whole prostate yesterday at my Bay Area Urology appointment. My husband has been seen in this office for months. His prostate numbers in November more that tripled his normal levels a year before. He was scheduled for prostate surgery, to be done 3/7. He had an MRI on 2/15 that showed "high suspicion of clinically significant cancer." So surgery was canceled until he has a biopsy-the soonest they can do that is April 8! Totally unacceptable to wait that long! I'm looking for a different urologist now because I'm very angry.
