I went to the store to make a warranty claim but was told I had to return to the original store where the battery was purchased, which was a 35-minute drive away. After speaking with another Battery World store, I was advised that the Hornsby store could have honoured the warranty claim by replacing the battery and then claiming the credit back from the manufacturer, in line with Battery World’s warranty policy. Had trouble trying to start my car. Took it to Battery World. Staff were friendly and professional. They ran a check on the battery with me present, presented the report - and given my battery was 5 years old - it was near to death. The $25 installation fee was reasonable. I had a choice of similar priced batteries and got honest appraisal of the difference. The battery was installed while I waited, promptly.
