I loved this place but they are permanently closed now - the restaurant is completely empty inside with all of the tables and decor gone. Google won’t believe my edit for some reason though despite pictures. Per a quick google search the closure is due to $400k+ owed in back rent.

I recently visited The Battery in Tampa and was surprised by the experience. When I arrived, there were plenty of open tables, but I was told they were not seating anyone else because the staff “could not handle it.” It was disappointing to be turned away despite the restaurant clearly having space available. I hope they can improve their staffing and communication so guests don’t have this kind of experience in the future. There were three of us.

The charcuterie board was excellent. Also had the lobster mac & cheese, which is really good as well as the seafood tower incredible. The people in my party complained about the steaks but everything I had was excellent. They have a great drink menu as well as so many bourbons I couldn’t count all high quality. Overall, I loved it
