Caring! Had multiple surgeries with great outcomes! The best!!!
My experience was wonderful. Had a major surgery on my wrist and the surgery went great. I found that Dr. Battersby psychologically prepared me for the procedure. He was gentle and explained thoroughly every step of the procedure. His office staff has always been professional and helpful. His appointments normally ran on time.If you are contemplating the idea of looking for an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Battersby is the best in this part of the state.

He has done several surgeries for me with great success. His last was anything but. A revision was done to my right artificial knee joint. I got a post surgical infection and this is where he failed me. After he performed 3 more surgeries including a replacement knee joint I ended up at Duke...WITHOUT HIS HELP or referal! First of all, the office. - I always come in 10 minutes before my appointment time. And end up waiting over an hour to actually go back to be seen by the doctor. I have to take a whole day off work whenever I come because of the ridiculous wait times. What’s the point of appointments if I have to wait an hour after my given time? Probably the most crass, unprofessional, and rude physician I have ever come in contact with.
It was the worst experience with a doctor I have ever had. He did not listen to me and my complaints and gave me a cortisone shot while saying, "this probably isn't going to do anything, but if it doesn't then we will see you in three weeks." Then he expounded about him being the doctor and I was just the patient. After such he called me by the wrong name leading me to believe he may have given me the shot thinking I was someone else.
Worst experience ever! Very poor bedside manners. Did not listen to patient concerns at all.
I just had my left hip replaced Dr. Battersby. I am thrilled! Off pain meds by the second day in the hospital. His careful choice of hip device, and his expertise in aligning it perfectly, gave me almost no pain and a quick recovery. I'm glad I didn't put off the surgery until my muscles had deteriorated. He replaced my right hip seven years ago, and I've had no problems at all with that one, although it took longer to recover because my muscles were much weaker. I would highly recommend !
