I called Ken to rescue a juvenile brown bat that had missed out on hibernating in the right spot. Weather had suddenly turned cold, it is Wisconsin, after all, and the bat was under the eaves of my office. Not a warm shelter for the winter. He secured the bat gently and took it home for rehabilitation.
