I stopped by about two hours before closing. The store wasn’t too busy, and the staff in the Guns & Ammo section were great, friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. When I went up front to the customer service desk, I asked if I could bring in my unloaded, secured handgun to try out some holsters. I was surprised by the reaction. We needed a pair of binoculars for the lengthy road trip we’re on now. Could have bought a pair earlier in the trip but decided to wait for this Cabral’s stop. Well worth the wait. Stanley in the optics dept was a godsend. Extremely knowledgeable and patient, he helped guide us to the solution that fit our needs perfectly. There is one word that explains why bricks & mortar retail is so important. That word is Value.
I haven't gone fishing since I was a kid and was a bit nervous asking someone since I didn't know much about the technical aspects to fishing. But Glenn in the fishing department helped me with everyting. He explained to be how to set up lures, which lures I would need for each of the fish I mentioned, and everything. I remember being 12 yrs old ordering stuff from the Cabelas catalog back in the day. Fast forward 40 years it's nice to have a physical store 10min away. That being said the service blows and that has nothing to do with the hourly employees themselves who are working for a multi billion dollar corporation. During a weekday ( retired) three different times I spent time milling around the archery dept looking at bows. No dice the tech was busy setting up bows / crossbows for other customers.
