Pretty good food, but be prepared to spend a lot of time Basil Canteen in SOMA is pretty good. The prices are a tiny bit high, but unreasonable. The menu is creative and extensive and the food is generally pretty tasty. Unfortunately, the service was really slow, to the point that it was almost absurd. For lunch, we were there for almost 2 hours and the restaurant was not even busy.
RecommendedAppetizers were stellar, and pumpkin shrimp curry was divine. This place is a cut above your usual Thai restaurant, and prices are reasonable.
Foods are great and cozy place @ SOMA.

I really enjoy the food there and the yummy drink specials.
Great food! Happy hour goes to 7pm...some pretty good deals there. Our entrees were Pad Thai and the Short Ribs in a green curry sauce. Both were great. Had fried banana and coconut ice cream for dessert. Overall...great meal!
