I've rented a few times from base camp bigfork and been on a dog sled trip in their winter with them. Mark is a great guide and their rentals are top notch. Highly reccomend.

I rented a paddle board over the 4th and the customer service was wonderful! They delivered by board, gave me some pointers and then came back and picked it up on the evening of the 4th with no complaints that it was the holiday. The paddle board was perfect and tons of fun for all of us hanging out at the lake. I will definitely be renting again form them! Thanks !!
Mark with Base Camp Bigfork gave us a awesome day of dogsledding in the Swan Mountain region. I highly recommend him to any and all. He has a wealth of knowledge about the wilderness and all it has to offer. Thanks again Mark!
FAR EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!! And that says a great deal, since I am typically cynical regarding tourist-type offerings. Base Camp Dog Sledding is NOT for the typical tourist. You had better be ready for an exhilarating winter adventure. Mark (the proprietor) insists YOU hitch up the dogs, YOU mush them, YOU do all the driving. You even have input as to the sledding route. We had a wonderful time dogsledding with Mark! He made us feel at ease right away. The experience is something we will never forget!
Mark was absolutely FANTASTIC! He was such a great, informative guide- was really enthusiastic about the history of the breed and had a story about each of his dogs. Was also quite knowledgeable about the area and the foliage, and was just really good company to top it off. It was the best day, ever!
