This Kansas landmark was established in 1910 by Dr. Walter Bartlett and is spread across 15 acres (6.07 hectares) of private land consisting of gigantic oaks, cypress and Japanese maples among other majestic trees. The Arboretum soothes your soul. Especially, I've found, if you can spend some free time volunteering there. The amount of labor each event and day takes, in order to coax the most of the infinite beauty out of it is astounding. Robin's love for doing just that, is awe inspiring. Her spirit to share her backyard with strangers and friends alike is a blessing to everyone who crosses the threshold of this magical place.
