Great hospice, has a Medical Director that makes home visits, not common in this area with hospices. All the nurses are RN's and have years of experience. Saint Francis Hospice does not have a formulary for medications, they give what is needed. Staff are trained to listen, care and help all patients and families.
Our experience with St Francis (Tulsa) Hospice was very negative. I would not recommend this hospice to anyone. What was provided to our loved one was minimal. Saw the Doctor only once. The nurse visits were very brief. She barely spoke to or interacted with the patient. The nurse was very distant and aloof. We would try and ask questions and the nurse would try to change the subject to the weather or pets. Never stayed long. missed more than one appt. We had to buy some of our own supplies.
