Never going here again. Asked for the beer selection and bartender threw the menu and said here it’s on page 3 then sarcastically started spewing off the names of the beers. While reading the menu he was recounting the story to his fellow bartender, laughing and making fun of us, while we were standing in front of him in full earshot. We didn’t even bother to order a drink because we didn’t want to give our money to people with no respect or class. I would never recommend this place to anyone I know.

Been here once and it was great, had good service, bartender was great and wanted to actually be there. Second time being here and the bartender was a complete d*ck head. Never coming back again after the service we received. Asked multiple questions and got completely ignored. Service needs to be better and the bartenders actually need to want to be there!!!! Terrible service, totally disappointing on my second visit.
The whisk(e)y selection is extraordinary, and the vibe is completely unpretentious. Food is good, the locals are welcoming and fun. I will make a point of coming here next time I’m in town. Thanks, Barrel Proof staff and patrons for a fantastic last night in the big easy. PS: if you’re visiting, check your ‘tude at the door and roll with it. These folks are the real deal. And give them generous tips—we’re all paying off student loans.
