THE bar for whiskey lovers. The bartenders are true professionals. They craft a cocktail like none I've ever seen. Whether it's a sazerac or a $7 Manhattan they do it right.
Barrel Proof has an incredible Whisk(e)y selection and a super knowledgable staff! The atmosphere is a nice, comfortable, dark, well soundtracked room with enough space to accommodate large parties. Drinking solo? It's real easy to make friends at one of the longest bars in New Orleans. If you're a smoker or general lover of being outside, the tables in front are a great place to watch the world go by.
