Loved our apartment – We loved our apartment at 705 W. Church St. in Champaign. It is walking distance to downtown and the cheapest apartment that we found for the size and location. Our apartment had just been remodeled before we moved in so it had new carpet, tile and bathroom fixtures.

The maintenance staff of Barr Real Estate is by far one of the best I have come across. They are always prompt and willing to help with any situation you might have. Last year I was locked out of my apartment because I twisted my key the wrong way and it jammed. Emergency maintenance was prompt and very helpful in replacing my lock. I was very satisfied with the response time because it was cold out and I didn't have to wait long at all to get into my unit. Very Satisfied – Heater fixed two days ago, stall fixed in the morning, carpet cleaned and new bed arrived in the afternoon. Good job BARR maintenance! Very satisfied.

Maintenance is awesome! – We live at 105 e. Daniel and our maintenance man Travis has helped us out SOO much and made our living situation so much better. Any time anything has gone wrong or something is broken we know we can just email him or count on him to come and take care of it. THANK YOU TRAVIS!!

I live at 609 W. Main St. in Urbana. It is a property owned by Barr, and I really enjoy living there. Any apartment living is not without its flaws- the first year there my neighbors were really noisy at awful hours, but since they left it has been amazing! The apartment complex, as it turned out, undertook the task of tackling a massive complex renovation which even involved tearing down the front walls of my apartment. Highly Recommend – I have rented a townhome from Barr Real Estate for 3 years now. Their maintenance staff is quick to get to any problem that you have with your property. Most of the time, their response occurs within 1-2 business days! They will actually leave you a note, telling you that they've been there and what they have done to fix your problem. In addition, the office staff has always been helpful and friendly when I've had to deal with them. Overall, I would highly recommend renting from Barr REal Estate!

The Best – Maintenance was definitely the best part. They came to "fix a drawer" one day in our bathroom and ended up ripping out our cabinets, sink, and mirrors. They replaced it all and the bathroom looks much better now, even much cleaner. The guys always came by and fixed things very quickly after we requested it, and I have experienced the same service at my new apartment in Southwest Champaign. They have also always been very polite.

I've lived here for about 4 years. Rent has only gone up once. My 1 bedroom is pretty spacious, with a balcony. Not much of a view, though. Appliances are a little dated, but functional. Seems like a safe place, never had any issues. Neighbors are friendly.
