I am a cardiologist in town and have been taking my daughter to Dr. Jim Plotnik for her nearsightedness for the last 3 years. The office staff is rude and disorganized, the doctor is always late by at least one hour and has poor skills with children. Could not believe there were still doctors like this. I have tried many pediatricians here in scottsdale az, some smaller groups, some larger groups all with apparently great reputations. Finally a Great Pediatrician – my husband and I are originally from PA. and we had the best pediatrician for our 6 kids but moved to AZ right after the birth of my 6th. That was about 18 months ago. I have been to 2 of the supposed best and biggest pediatric groups in the area of Scottsdale and Phoenix and I don't need to mention names. Average, not impressed – Our son is 3 and has had eye issues since birth. We recently moved to Flagstaff from San Diego. We were referred to Az Pediatric Eyecare by our amazing doctor in SD. Right away I had scheduling issues as I was unable to come to many appointments due to the fact that I have to drive 2 hours with two kids, one being in school. The "Answering Service" was a wreck. Great, Professional Eye Doctor – Great MD who makes everyone comfortable. Knows how to get everyone to cooperate during the exam and then can explain everything...clearly, simply and with great patience!! Wouldn't take our family's eyes' to anyone else.
such a relief – I was so worried. My husband recently has been out of work and lost our health insurance. I was able to get my small children on a State plan Mercy Care. Couldn't ask for nicer guy or better doctor – My family is new to the area from NJ. We were recommended to Dr. Barone by several people at Hospital were I work ( I am a lab tech). Incomplete Exam and Rude to Parent – I grew up in the medical field so I am no dummy. I took my sons' in for a well visit as we're looking for a new ped in the area. To my disgust- the doc did a half-a$$ed exam, barely answered questions, would interrupt me when I tried to answer his, treated me like a moron and flung rude/snide comments at me because of my immunization beliefs. overall finest pediatrician anywhere – This man is so honest and upfront. He explains everything and seems to know about so many things. He's not just there to give you medicine, he really tries to help my kids whole body and mind everytime we visit. My kids think he's the best thing in the world. They want to go "play" with him, all the time.
