Four of us dined there and had a fantastic meal - not a complaint could be made. If you go, ask for Annie, best server I may have ever had, very personable and attentive - she made the experience most enjoyable for all. You will not go wrong at Barnacle Bill's downtown!
Well, many don't know but Bill past away and there are new owners/management now. The food is as good if not better and now, beside the fresh homemade bread you also get your choice of potatoes/rice and you get a vegi too. If you want the best service, just ask for Renee, she is the best! They have the best Ipswich fried clams, better than New Hampshire!!! All their food is fresh made from scratch! You can't get better than this place!
Best seafood chowder ever! Also had the calamari, it was cooked to perfection.
Food and service were ok but I would probably not go back. The menu was large and somewhat confusing. Jeremy was our waiter and he was friendly and knowledgeable about the specials.
It was a fair lunch ask for tuna on salad salmon come out but it was ok
We celebrated Mardis Gras by having lunch at Barnacle Bill's yesterday ... shrimp poor boys and seafood gumbo ... YUM!!! Saved us a trip to New Orleans! :)
My husband and I go there frequently, and we have NEVER been disappointed! The manager (Stephanie) is an absolute delight and wonderful at her job! The seafood is always fresh and delicious, and Monica makes awesome martini's!
