I rented a property managed by Barnaby Property Management LLC for a period of time, and I’d like to share a heads-up with anyone considering renting from them. During my move-out process, I encountered some issues regarding the return of my security deposit. I’ve been working with Linah and her team at Barnaby Property Management for almost 5 years now. They have been amazing partners in my time renting out my house. The first time I rented the house I was doing work to the property and last minute needed to move back to San Francisco to return to the office. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this company. I had the distinct displeasure of calling to attempting to schedule a simple tour of a townhouse, and was promptly greeted with the warmth of a DMV clerk on a bad day. The woman who answered immediately snapped that I shouldn’t be calling directly (silly me, thinking a listed phone number was meant to be used), and insisted I need to send a message through Zillow after proving we met their requirements. Linah at Barnaby Property Management is a great person who is a rare and invaluable find as a property manager. I've been a tenant in a large shared house for over a decade and I have to be honest that I was NOT pleased at all when I got the news that our landlord - due to circumstances outside of his control - was passing the management over to Barnaby.
