The on call staff seems to be better equipped at handling the patients needs than the day-time staff. I waited 6 hours for a call back from the nursing staff only to be told to go to the emergency room at 4:30pm when I called at 10am. Afterwards, I waited until the on call staff was in office and was able to be helped with a prescription that actually helps me avoid the emergency room. My experience with the Barkley Surgicenter : Warm welcome with the utmost professionalism... from onset .. being greeted....registered.... surgery... the staff was friendly.... I would recommend and have recommended the center.. I was well taken care of ..... Had to do an edit..2025 endoscopy & colonoscopy same day.. I am sure every where else pales in comparison.. wouldn't know.. Barkley Surgicenter remains the Numero Uno for me..... Thanks ....
Great drs but office billing is horrible, they put wrong codes into systems for insurance co and a routine colonoscopy which is free ends up costing you because they code it at diagnostic. 13 months later and still fighting over there coding. Really not welcoming to patients especially when you’re told it's a preventive and they bill as a diagnostic. They recieved 5780.00 and now want another 208.80. All about the bucks
Writing this for my husband who was the actual patient and asked him how many stars he would give. My personal answer is 1. I worked as a surgical tech for years. Appointment time was 12:30, we were told to be there at 11:30. He was taken back at 11:45 and left in a bed with no explanation until 2pm. EVERY person in the waiting room who came before AND after came and went until he was finally taken into have his procedure at 2, then released around 3. No updates, no communication whatsoever. My experience with Barkley Surgicenter was wonderful! This was my first colonoscopy and I was very anxious. Everyone, starting with check in, to the nurses, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Koka all made me feel at ease. All were very professional and so kind. I highly recommend!
