Never again! My kids and I went their to get glasses for all 4 of us. Next week, we have an appointment to get a new exam somewhere else. I can see better going without the glasses that he gave me and I have 20/400 vision. The Doctor was old and shaky (which didn't bother me), but he also kept asking me to tell him a dirty joke and when I asked him what my vision was, his response was, "Crap/Crap" (except for he used the sh_t words). I thought that was very unprofessional and being a Christian women, didn't appreciate the fa... read more
complete misdiagnosis They diagnosed my daughter with a lazy eye and prescribed glasses with a major correction. When questioning this I was told that we needed to trust them and not seek a second opinion. Thank God we did, she is fine, nothing wrong with her AT ALL. She doesn't need glasses, she doesn't need anything. The ophthalmologist said she is just fine with no vision issues at all. This is at the office in East Peoria, and also the head Dr. of Bard that said she needs glasses and has a lazy eye.
Unprofessional service I went with my friend to get her eyes examed here and to pick out a pair of glasses. The optomotrist was incredibly unprofessional and made remarks that made my friend feel very uncomfortable. He was an older guy and he was basically hitting on a college girl. The receptionist wasn't much better. She was incredibly condescending and rude to us, and they ripped my friend off, I think because we were college students and they assumed we did not know any better. I do not recommend this place because the s... read more
Unprofessional business ethic The whole experience was disappointing. The doctor has no concern for the wellness of his patients. The people in the office just wanted to sell you a pair of glasses, regardless whether the glasses is necessary. Been there once and that is enough for the rest of my life!
I couldn't see when I left The optometrist there is old school and uses strong dilation for eye exams. I couldn't see to drive home right away because my dilated eyes were so sensitive to light. I went shopping for 2 hours hoping my light sensitivity would go away and still had to squint all the way home wearing sunglasses (I live about 50 miles away). I couldn't even see properly enough to pick out my frames...I also couldn't see the prices. Sham or just an old-fashioned doc? I'm not sure...but I'm still curious what my new... read more
Been here many times I realize what many people have written here may be "assessments". However, even though the doctor is older and clearly has a physical "problem" I would never call him shaky or anything else. He is a very patient and caring person. His comments may seem out of place and not professional to many people, but I am sure that if you took comments like his with a grain of salt and realized that he is just a jester, you would have a much better experience. Again, I understand where some people may come from abo... read more
