I ordered a coffee and a macchiato. Really great coffee. But I did not appreciate the barista condescendingly quizzing us when we ordered the macchiato to make sure we knew what a macchiato is. I'm not a freaking idiot. If I wanted a caramel macchiato, I would have gone across the street.
Reviews said this was the place for coffee in Portland so we went in while there today. Reviews totally correct. Had a drip coffee of the day and an almond cookie-fantastic! Went back before heading home had a cappuccino for the road- top ten of the best I’ve ever had. All the foam drinks they do a design with the foam.. love that!
I like being there, I like the location, and their coffee is very tasty.
Very nice staff, quick service and I like being able to settle in with my book.
I was an early adopter of Bard. It was my daily stop for several years. Now, due to a schedule change, I’m there much less frequently. But darned if when I do go in I’m not remembering why I’ve called it my Cheers since day one.
