If your dog has seizures like my 120lb big boy does, try and catch a video for your vet. It helps so much for them to be able to see the severity and type of seizure instead of trying to describe it for them. As always Dr. Shy at Barboursville Veterinary Clinic and his phenomenal crew have figured out my "Heart Dog's" medical problem instead of me having to put him down for lack of quality of life. I have taken my 2 Shelties to see Dr Shy for years. He is wonderful! I would & have absolutely recommend him and his staff to take care of anyone's beloved pet. He has seen me though a lot with Obi & Luke. Dr Shy is wonderful & so are his staff.

Dr.Shy & his staff are truly a blessing! They all were so helpful & not once got annoyed with my millions of questions. Dr.Shy went above and beyond to try to help my Pepper. Sadly I had to make the decision to put her down & I wouldn’t have wanted to have done it anywhere else! Definitely recommend this place!! 🐾🐾
i left a review a few years ago, but i wanted to update to really express how much love i have for the people here. Dr. Shy and the staff were always there for me and my guy, Kato. he got really sick a couple weeks ago and they did everything they could to try and make him better. he was an old man and he fought hard, but he just needed rest. he passed this morning. you guys are the best. thank you for always loving my dog and being so caring. i’m beyond grateful. ♥️
Please pray for my baby Sassy. She had a retrobolbar abscess in her eye from a tumor and having surgery tomorrow to take out tumor and they may need to take her eye out because this vet failed to diagnosis and even examine her fully 2 weeks ago. Took her to another vet for a 2nd opinion thankfully!!She was my sister Jean’s puppy I adopted after she passed away. So upset tonight
